Samantha began teaching 16 years ago in a deprived area of Sheffield where she was school lead for the Lets Think! Research project; using questioning techniques to develop structured thinking across the curriculum. After moving to North Staffordshire she continued to work across the Primary age phase taking leadership roles in lower school and Early Years, successfully setting up a nursery for 2 year olds using government funding for children in deprived areas.

Wanting to further her passion for outdoor education, science and food education she took a consultant role with a national education charity promoting Food, Farming and the Countryside to schools; planning how this can be incorporated into their curriculum's; developing training days for teachers wanting to enhance their use of the outdoors in their teaching, running Science weeks in schools to connect children to the origins of the food they eat and supporting outdoor educators with curriculum planning.
