Chair of the Strategic Board

Kerry has worked in education for over 25 years in a variety of roles and contexts, beginning her career as an English teacher and holding a range of middle and senior leadership roles. Kerry has been fortunate to have gained some fantastic career experiences including spending a year teaching in New Zealand, having a term’s sabbatical undertaking leadership research in a range of outstanding schools and working as the Senior Literacy/English consultant for a Local Authority. After 8 years as Principal of an 11-18 academy, Kerry then moved to be an Executive Headteacher for 3 years and has recently taken up her current role as Director of People and Culture for Shaw Education Trust. This role includes leading the SET Institute of Education, which includes a number of educational areas, including the KNSTE SCITT, through this role Kerry is delighted to be appointed as the Chair of the KNSTE Strategic Board and is very excited about working more closely with colleagues.
