08jul(jul 8)9:00 am09(jul 9)4:00 pmPhilosophy for Children, Community and Colleges (P4C) Level 1 Course (Two Days 8th and 9th July) for Stoke-on-Trent Experienced Teachers, RQTs and Current or Prospective NQTs

Event Details

Who: The course is designed for all colleagues in Stoke on Trent and can include NQTs who are due to start work in the city of Stoke-on-Trent in September 2019. This is an exciting opportunity to enable you to practise P4C in an educational setting. Completion of the course and facilitating 6 P4C sessions in your classroom will qualify you for a P4C Initial Practitioner certificate.  We anticipate that the 6 sessions will take place in the 2019/20 academic year.

Cost: Free to all Stoke-on-Trent Teachers. This includes lunch and refreshments but does not include any cover costs (Course fee for the two days is usually £210 and this is fully funded by the ‘Bercow 10 Years On’ initiative).  We are very grateful for their generous support and more can be found at https://www.bercow10yearson.com/.

Course Dates and Venue: 8th and 9th July at The Teacher Education Bungalow, Keele University Campus, ST5 5BG. Joining details will be sent to you by 1st July at the latest, and by 31st May if you have booked a place by then.

Book your Place: Please book your place by following this link https://knste-shaw.org.uk/p4c-level1-nqt/. Bookings will be taken on a first come, first served basis and we will run a waiting list. Bookings will close on 1st July if the course is not already fully booked. We encourage you and your schools to book as soon as you are appointed to your post – for which our congratulations.
