Are you ambitious to gain formal recognition for your work as a Teacher Educator (TE)?
KNSTE is proud to announce the launch of the Level 2 (Tier 2) “Advanced Coaching and Mentoring” for Teacher Educators programme. This tailor-made three-day programme has been designed in partnership with NASBTT (The National Association of School Based Teacher Trainers) to enhance the skills of teacher educators. This means that successful participants will be awarded a NASBTT certificate to formally recognise their achievements and contributions as an Advanced Coach and Mentor.
Who: The course is aimed at TEs with some prior experience of coaching and mentoring colleagues through their career development (these may include, but are not limited to ATs, NQTs, RQTs, etc.). It builds on our Tier 1 training.
Course Dates: The Level 2 qualification takes place over three days and we are running the programme twice during the year (once for each placement cycle)
Cohort 1 dates are 17th October, 14th November and 6th January
Cohort 2 dates are 6th March, 22nd May and 20th June.
Cost: The cost for the course is £295 for partnership schools, which represents exceptional value for money and recognises the strength of our partnership working.
Course Content: The programme includes modules such as ‘Co-analysis’, ‘Re-Scripting Feedback’, ‘ Holding Difficult Conversations’ ‘Developing Listening Skills’ and much more!
The programme fee includes:
- Three days of tailored training;
- Structured Gap Tasks;
- A Sandwich Lunch;
- Refreshments throughout the day;
- Networking opportunities.
Course Outcome: This course will enhance your skills as a coach and mentor, preparing you to work with larger groups of colleagues, perhaps as a lead tutor or senior coach.
Course Venue: All sessions will be held on Keele campus and you will be asked to arrive for 8.45am for a 9am start. We will finish by 3.30pm.
